Ladies and gentlemen, you have been duly selected to your office by the Membership of the Wales Center Volunteer Fire Company. Are each of you ready to assume the duties and responsibilities of your office? Are you ready to abide by, enforce, and uphold the rules, regulations, and Constitution and By-Laws of the Wales Center Volunteer Fire Company? If so, please say "I do".

Please raise your right hand and repeat after me, inserting your own name after the word "I":

"I, (pause to let them state their names), under oath do affirm that I have been advised in and have knowledge of the duties and responsibilities of the office to which I have been elected, and that I solemnly and sincerely promise and swear that I will fulfill those duties and responsibilities to the best of my ability, so help me God."

You may lower your hands. Now, by the virtue of the authority conferred in me, I do declare each of you duly installed in your respective office. I wish you the best of luck during your term of office and offer any assistance to you in your programs for the coming year. Please turn and face the audience.
